ARTICLE 1

Article 1 – Name

The name of the organization shall be Digital Media Journalist & Content Creator Association (DMJCCA), hereinafter referred to as "the Association."

ARTICLE 2

Article 2 – Nature of the Association

DMJCCA is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political, and professional organization established to promote ethical digital journalism, responsible content creation, professional development, education, networking, and collaboration among Digital Journalists and Content Creators across India.

ARTICLE 3

Article 3 – Registered Office

The Registered Office of the Association shall be located at the address approved by the National Executive Committee and may be changed by resolution of the Executive Committee in accordance with applicable laws.

ARTICLE 4

Article 4 – Area of Operation

The Association shall operate throughout the Republic of India and may establish National, State, District, City, or Local Chapters as required.

ARTICLE 5

Article 5 – Objectives

The objectives of the Association include:

  • To unite Digital Journalists and Content Creators across India.
  • To promote ethical journalism and responsible digital communication.
  • To organize educational programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and training.
  • To encourage innovation in digital media.
  • To facilitate networking and collaboration.
  • To create awareness about media laws, copyright, cyber laws, and digital rights.
  • To promote professional standards and best practices.
  • To undertake research and educational initiatives.
  • To support skill development and leadership among members.
  • To encourage media literacy and responsible use of digital platforms.
ARTICLE 6

Article 6 – Membership

Membership shall be open to eligible individuals engaged in or interested in digital journalism, content creation, digital media, communication, and related fields.

The Association may create different categories of membership, including:

  • Founder Member
  • Professional Member
  • Student Member
  • Institutional Member
  • Honorary Member
  • Lifetime Member
  • Corporate Member

The National Executive Committee may create, modify, or discontinue membership categories as required.

ARTICLE 7

Article 7 – Membership Approval

Membership applications shall be reviewed by the Membership Committee or authorized officers.

The Association reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate membership in accordance with these Bylaws.

The decision of the Association shall be final.

ARTICLE 8

Article 8 – Rights of Members

Members shall have the right to:

  • Participate in Association programs.
  • Attend meetings and events.
  • Access approved member resources.
  • Receive membership documents.
  • Participate in educational activities.
  • Submit suggestions.
  • Apply for committee participation where eligible.

Voting rights and eligibility to hold office shall be governed by the Constitution and applicable membership category.

ARTICLE 9

Article 9 – Responsibilities of Members

Members shall:

  • Follow the Constitution and Bylaws.
  • Comply with the Code of Ethics.
  • Maintain professional conduct.
  • Provide accurate information.
  • Respect fellow members.
  • Protect the reputation of the Association.
  • Follow applicable laws.
  • Use membership responsibly.
ARTICLE 10

Article 10 – Membership Suspension & Termination

Membership may be suspended or terminated if a member:

  • Provides false information.
  • Violates the Constitution.
  • Violates the Code of Ethics.
  • Misuses Association identity.
  • Uses membership for unlawful activities.
  • Brings disrepute to the Association.

Before termination, the member may be given an opportunity to respond, except in cases requiring immediate action.

ARTICLE 11

Article 11 – Organizational Structure

The Association may consist of:

  • General Body
  • National Executive Committee
  • Advisory Board
  • State Chapters
  • District Chapters
  • City Chapters
  • Committees
  • Departments

The Association may modify its organizational structure whenever necessary.

ARTICLE 12

Article 12 – National Executive Committee

The "National Executive Committee" referred to in these Bylaws is the "Governing Body" of the Society as defined under the Memorandum of Association and the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Both expressions shall be read as interchangeable and shall mean the same body.

The National Executive Committee shall be responsible for policy implementation, administration, financial oversight, and strategic planning.

The Committee may include:

  • Founder & National President
  • Working President
  • Vice Presidents
  • General Secretary
  • Secretaries
  • Treasurer
  • Executive Members
  • Committee Heads
ARTICLE 13

Article 13 – Meetings

The Association may conduct:

  • Annual General Meetings
  • Executive Meetings
  • Committee Meetings
  • Emergency Meetings
  • Virtual Meetings

Meetings may be conducted physically, virtually, or in hybrid format.

Minutes shall be recorded and maintained.

ARTICLE 14

Article 14 – Committees

The Association may establish committees including:

  • Membership Committee
  • Legal Cell
  • Ethics Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Training Committee
  • Media Relations Committee
  • Women's Wing
  • Youth Wing
  • Research Committee
  • IT & Technology Committee
  • Events Committee

Additional committees may be created as required.

ARTICLE 15

Article 15 – Finance

The Association may receive funds through:

  • Membership Fees
  • Donations
  • Sponsorships
  • Grants
  • CSR Support
  • Educational Programs
  • Publications
  • Other lawful sources

All funds shall be used solely for achieving the objectives of the Association.

ARTICLE 16

Article 16 – Accounts & Audit

Proper books of accounts shall be maintained.

Accounts shall be reviewed and audited in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Financial transparency shall be maintained at all times.

ARTICLE 17

Article 17 – Legal Support

The Association may provide legal awareness, guidance, or limited assistance in matters relating to digital journalism and media.

Legal assistance:

  • is not automatic,
  • is subject to the genuineness of the case,
  • shall be reviewed by the Legal Cell,
  • depends upon available resources,
  • does not create any legal obligation upon the Association.
ARTICLE 18

Article 18 – Training & Professional Development

The Association may organize:

  • Workshops
  • Seminars
  • Conferences
  • Certification Programs
  • Webinars
  • Research Projects
  • Skill Development Initiatives

Participation may be subject to eligibility criteria.

ARTICLE 19

Article 19 – Member Identification

The Association may issue:

  • Digital Membership Cards
  • Membership Certificates
  • QR Verification
  • Membership Numbers

These documents are intended solely for Association purposes.

They shall not be interpreted as Government Press Accreditation or statutory authorization.

ARTICLE 20

Article 20 – Intellectual Property

The Association owns all rights relating to:

  • Logo
  • Brand Name
  • Website
  • Publications
  • Membership Designs
  • Certificates
  • Digital Assets
  • Educational Materials

No person may reproduce or commercially use Association property without written permission.

ARTICLE 21

Article 21 – Code of Ethics

Every member shall comply with the official Code of Ethics adopted by the Association.

Violation may result in disciplinary action.

ARTICLE 22

Article 22 – Conflict of Interest

Office Bearers and Committee Members shall disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest.

The Executive Committee may determine appropriate action where conflicts arise.

ARTICLE 23

Article 23 – Data Protection

Member information shall be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the Association's Privacy Policy.

Reasonable measures shall be taken to protect member data.

ARTICLE 24

Article 24 – Amendments

These Bylaws may be amended by the National Executive Committee or General Body in accordance with the Constitution.

Amendments shall become effective upon approval unless otherwise specified.

ARTICLE 25

Article 25 – Dissolution

If the Association is dissolved, its assets shall be dealt with in accordance with the applicable laws and the provisions of the Constitution.

No member shall have any personal claim over the assets of the Association.

ARTICLE 26

Article 26 – Interpretation

Any question relating to the interpretation of these Bylaws shall be decided by the National Executive Committee, subject to the Constitution and applicable law.

ARTICLE 27

Article 27 – Disclaimer

DMJCCA is an independent professional association.

Membership, Membership Cards, Certificates, QR Verification, or participation in Association activities do not constitute Government recognition, statutory authority, accreditation, or official press credentials, unless specifically recognized by a competent government authority.

ARTICLE 28

Article 28 – Adoption

These Bylaws shall come into effect from the date approved by the Founding Executive Committee and shall remain in force until amended or replaced in accordance with the Constitution of the Association.

Declaration

These Bylaws are intended to ensure transparent governance, ethical conduct, accountability, and the orderly administration of the Digital Media Journalist & Content Creator Association (DMJCCA). Every member, office bearer, committee member, volunteer, and representative of the Association is expected to understand, respect, and comply with these provisions in support of the Association's vision, mission, and objectives.
