Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 12-09-2026
Last Updated: 12-09-2026

Organization: Digital Media Journalist & Content Creator Association (DMJCCA)
Website: www.dmjcca.com
Email: aidmjcca@gmail.com

DMJCCA is committed to maintaining a transparent and fair process for membership applications, events, workshops, training programs, conferences, and other services.

Important: DMJCCA membership is currently absolutely free of charge. No membership fee, registration fee, or membership processing fee is currently being charged for standard membership. Accordingly, no refund arises in relation to the free membership itself.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances under which cancellations, refunds, or payment adjustments may apply to paid events, workshops, training programs, conferences, services, or other activities, where applicable.

  1. Free Membership Policy
  2. DMJCCA currently provides membership completely free of charge to eligible applicants.
  3. There is currently no membership registration fee, membership processing fee, or recurring membership fee for standard DMJCCA membership.
  4. Free membership does not automatically guarantee approval. Every application remains subject to DMJCCA’s applicable eligibility requirements and verification procedures.
  5. Applicants are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and genuine information and documents during the membership application process.
  6. DMJCCA reserves the right to reject, suspend, or cancel an application or membership where information is found to be false, fraudulent, misleading, forged, or otherwise inconsistent with the applicable membership requirements.
  7. Since standard membership is currently free, no refund or reimbursement is applicable for the membership application itself.

  1. Membership Cancellation or Withdrawal
  2. A member may voluntarily resign from DMJCCA by submitting a written cancellation or resignation request through the officially registered email or other designated communication channel.
  3. Cancellation or resignation of a free membership does not involve any refund because no membership fee is currently charged.
  4. No monetary compensation shall ordinarily be payable for cancellation, resignation, suspension, or termination of a free membership.
  5. Where membership is suspended, canceled, or terminated because of violation of DMJCCA’s Code of Ethics, membership rules, applicable law, fraudulent conduct, misuse of membership credentials, or other disciplinary grounds, the member shall not be entitled to any monetary compensation.
  6. Termination of membership does not remove any financial, legal, or other obligations that arose before the effective date of cancellation.

  1. Paid Events, Workshops, Training & Summit Registrations

Although standard DMJCCA membership is currently free, DMJCCA may organize paid events, workshops, training programs, seminars, conferences, summits, certification programs, or other paid activities.

The following refund provisions shall apply to such paid registrations, wherever applicable:

  1. Participants may request cancellation by contacting DMJCCA through the designated official communication channel.
  2. Cancellation requests received 7 days or more before the scheduled event date may be eligible for an 80% refund, subject to applicable payment-processing charges and the specific terms communicated at the time of registration.
  3. Cancellation requests received less than 7 days before the scheduled event will generally be non-refundable, unless otherwise specified by DMJCCA.
  4. Failure to attend a registered event, workshop, training program, conference, or summit (no-show) will generally not qualify for a refund.
  5. Where a registration is expressly marked as non-refundable at the time of purchase, those specific terms will apply.
  6. Transfer of an event registration to another person may be permitted only with prior written approval from DMJCCA and may be subject to verification or administrative requirements.

  1. Cancellation, Postponement or Rescheduling by DMJCCA
  2. DMJCCA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, modify, or change the venue or format of an event, workshop, training program, conference, or summit due to administrative, operational, technical, regulatory, safety, force majeure, or other circumstances.
  3. If a paid event is canceled by DMJCCA and no alternative date or equivalent arrangement is offered, eligible registered participants may receive a 100% refund of the applicable registration amount.
  4. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, DMJCCA may offer participants the option to attend the rescheduled event instead of receiving a refund, depending on the circumstances and terms communicated to participants.
  5. Where a refund is approved following cancellation by DMJCCA, it will ordinarily be processed within 7–10 business days.

  1. Refund Processing
  2. Approved refunds will generally be processed through the original payment method used for the transaction, such as bank account, UPI, debit card, credit card, or the applicable payment gateway.
  3. DMJCCA will not ordinarily process refunds to an unrelated third-party account unless required or permitted by applicable law.
  4. The time required for the refunded amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the payment gateway, bank, card issuer, or financial institution.
  5. DMJCCA generally aims to process approved refunds within 7–10 business days after the refund has been authorized.

  1. Payment Gateway & Transaction Charges

Where a refund is permitted for a paid service or activity, payment gateway charges, transaction fees, convenience fees, banking charges, or other non-recoverable third-party charges may be deducted where applicable and legally permissible.

Any applicable deductions will be communicated to the applicant, member, or participant where reasonably practicable.

  1. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments
  2. If a member, applicant, or participant accidentally makes a duplicate payment for the same paid service or activity, they should notify DMJCCA as soon as possible.
  3. After verification of the duplicate transaction, DMJCCA may process the eligible excess payment for refund, subject to applicable transaction or payment-processing charges.
  4. Refunds arising from duplicate transactions will generally be returned to the original payment source.

  1. Failed or Pending Transactions
  2. If an amount has been debited from a user’s bank account or payment instrument but the corresponding DMJCCA transaction is shown as failed, pending, or unsuccessful, the user should contact DMJCCA with the transaction reference/UTR number and relevant payment details.
  3. DMJCCA will verify the transaction status with the applicable payment gateway or financial institution.
  4. Where the payment was unsuccessful and the amount is subsequently reversed by the payment provider, the reversal will be governed by the applicable banking/payment-system timelines.

  1. Non-Refundable Paid Services and Expenses

Unless expressly stated otherwise, payments for services that have already been fully delivered, customized, processed, issued, or substantially completed may not be eligible for a refund.

This may include, where applicable:

  • Completed verification services
  • Customized documents or materials
  • Completed training or workshops
  • Issued paid certificates or credentials
  • Services already substantially delivered
  • Administrative services already performed
  • Other services expressly identified as non-refundable before payment

This section does not apply to standard DMJCCA membership because standard membership is currently provided free of charge.

  1. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

For any paid service, event, workshop, training program, conference, or other paid activity, refund or cancellation requests should be submitted through the official DMJCCA communication channel.

The request should include:

  • Full name of the applicant/member/participant
  • Registered email address
  • Contact details
  • Membership/application/registration number, if applicable
  • Date and amount of payment
  • Transaction ID/UTR/payment reference
  • Reason for cancellation or refund request
  • Supporting documents, where applicable

DMJCCA may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and process the request.

  1. Fraudulent or Unauthorized Transactions

DMJCCA reserves the right to investigate suspected fraudulent, unauthorized, manipulated, or deceptive transactions.

Where fraud, misuse, identity theft, chargeback abuse, or deliberate misrepresentation is reasonably established, the relevant application, membership, registration, or service may be suspended or canceled, subject to applicable law.

  1. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Members, applicants, and participants are requested to contact DMJCCA before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback where the issue can reasonably be resolved through the association’s refund process.

Nothing in this policy prevents any person from exercising rights available to them under applicable law or through their bank, payment provider, consumer forum, or other competent authority.

  1. Free Membership and Future Paid Services

DMJCCA currently offers standard membership completely free of charge.

If DMJCCA introduces any membership-related paid service, premium membership, physical credential, certification, event, training program, workshop, or other paid service in the future, the applicable charges and refund/cancellation terms will be clearly communicated to the applicant or member before payment is made.

Any such future paid service may be governed by additional terms and conditions specific to that service.

  1. Policy Amendments

DMJCCA reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, operational procedures, payment systems, or applicable legal requirements.

The updated policy will be published on the official website where appropriate.

The version applicable to a transaction will generally be the version in effect at the time of that transaction, unless otherwise required by law.

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India.

Any dispute relating to refunds, cancellations, payments, or services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts/authorities as applicable.

  1. Important Note

This Refund & Cancellation Policy should be read together with DMJCCA’s:

  • Membership Terms & Conditions
  • Privacy Policy
  • Disclaimer
  • Code of Ethics
  • Membership Policy
  • Other applicable policies published by the association

Where any provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory legal requirement shall prevail.
