Any citizen of India practicing digital journalism, online news publishing, podcasting, or producing verified informational/educational digital content is eligible to apply for membership.
Applicants must have an active digital media presence (website, YouTube channel, verified social page, podcast network, or digital portal) with a demonstrated record of regular publishing.
The applicant must not have been convicted of any serious criminal offense or anti-national activities by a court of law.
2. Application and Verification Process
All applications must be submitted online via the official DMJCCA member portal along with required identity and address proofs (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID), recent photograph, and proof of media work.
The District/State Screening Committee and National Governing Council hold full rights to verify submitted credentials and approve or reject any application based on internal verification criteria.
3. Identity Card and Accreditation
Official DMJCCA digital ID cards are issued solely to approved, verified members.
The membership ID card is non-transferable and remains the intellectual property of the Association.
The ID card validates association membership and professional affiliation; it must never be misused for unlawful authority, intimidation, blackmail, or illegal financial extortion.
4. Membership Validity and Renewal
Membership tenure is valid for a period of one (1) year from the date of approval unless granted as a multi-year/lifetime institutional tier.
Members must apply for renewal prior to expiry by paying the standard annual renewal subscription and submitting updated media activity links.
5. Member Code of Conduct
Members must conduct all field reporting, interviews, and digital broadcasting in a dignified, civil, and lawful manner.
Members shall not represent the Association publicly, issue official press statements on behalf of the National Body, or sign agreements in DMJCCA’s name without written authorization from the Secretary-General or National President.
6. Suspension, Disciplinary Action & Termination
Membership may be suspended or permanently revoked on grounds of proven unethical reporting, defamation, extortion, criminal conviction, anti-national acts, or non-compliance with the Code of Ethics.
In case of a formal complaint, the Disciplinary Committee shall issue a Show-Cause Notice giving 7 days for the member to respond before final determination.
Upon termination, the individual must immediately surrender their ID card and remove all official DMJCCA badges/designations from their digital channels.
